ELECTROENCEPHALOGRAM (EEG)
Electroencephalogram (EEG) documents and records brain wave patterns. Small metal discs with thin wires (electrodes) are arranged on the head, and then the electrodes send signals to a computer to note the results. Normal electrical activity in the brain makes a notable pattern that is commonly shown. Through an EEG, doctors can look for irregular patterns that indicate seizures and/or other problems.
